On June 23 or the following weekend, there are mass long-distance running competitions, which are considered the main International Olympic Day event.

President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Honorary President International Kurash Association Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with a group of businessmen. President of the Kurash Confederation of Asian-Oceania and a well-known businessman Komil Ruziev, also took part in the meeting.

Importantly, Sheikh Ahmad Al Fahad Al Sabah, Honorary President of Kurash Confederation Asia-Oceania and holder of the Golden Order of IKA, was selected as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense.

“The socialization of kurash should become the main task of all of us. The government supports the work at all levels in this regard. Even Indonesian schoolchildren should understand what kurash is. I have no doubt that new generations of great athletes are growing in the regions as well. Kurash is expanding over the world. Kurash has already participated in the Asian Games and is on its way to the Olympics”

The Federation prepared a video instruction before this championship with detailed information about beach kurash and its rules and regulations.

The new system is currently being tested by a team of IKA employees under the direction of IKA General Secretary Mohammad Reza Nassiri.

This training camp will serve as a unique preparation for the 19th Summer Asian Games, which will be hosted by Hangzhou, China, and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which will be held in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand.

It’s worth while mentioning that Mr Nassiri has been involved in the Asian Games since 2002 Busan, 2006 Doha, 2010 Guangzhou , 2014 Incheon, 2018 Jakarta and 2023 Hangzhou as well as 2004 Athens Olympics.

In fact, in the past year alone, 7 different levels of championships, multi-games and tournaments were held on the Asian continent.

According to the information presented to the President of IKA, all organizational issues are being implemented on the basis of the established Program. More than 1,200 employees are working to present a real Kurash festival to about 400 participants from 24 countries.
