Dan Yu, representative of the host country, defeated Kyrgyz Merim Mominova in the group match, then Ravzakhan Adasheva, visiting from the Kurash homeland, and Mongolian Tsogt-Ochir in the semi-finals. In the final, the most experienced world and Asian champion from Iran, Donya Aghaei, was defeated with an honest assessment. In the weight category of 70 kg, she took the gold medal in her home.
