Kurash Confederation of Asia and Oceania (KCAO) has announced The Bests of the year!

 The ending year of 2017 has been full of unforgettable events for activity of Kurash Confederation of Asia and Oceania (KCAO).

 

· On January 4, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, Asian and Oceanian Kurash Confederations have convened a congressional assembly as an union. During this conference, Komil Ruziev from Uzbekistan, has been elected as president of the Confederation.

· During the time of trips to several countries, led by the President of the Confederation, many agreements have been reached with officials in both continents on broader dissemination and development of Kurash.

 

· May 26-29, international tournament dedicated to the memory of Al Hakim at Termezi for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, has been organized on a high level.

· From August 10 to August 11, Asia-Oceania Championship among Youth was held at a high level in Bojnord, Islamic Republic of Iran.

· On August 19, Tashkent hosted the 1st Congress of the Asia-Oceania Kurash Confederation, and Congress adopted important decisions on the development of Kurash.

· September 17 – 27, during 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, Kurash Competitions were held on a high level

· On September 20, in Ashgabat, during the General Assembly of the Olympic Council of Asia, Kurash have been officially included in the Summer Asian Games 2018 in Indonesia.

· On October 2, the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan has announced an important decree (PQ 3306) on measures to further develop of Kurash.

· From November 30 to December 4th, Istanbul hosted the XI World Championship. During the championship, the wrestlers of the Confederation member states took the lead.

As in every field, current year's annual report was highly appreciated by members of the Executive Committee of the Asia-Oceania Confederation.The most successful and active participants of the year were the best ones in several nominations:

· The Referee of the year - Pulsak Sajathamnukul (Thailand), For active refereeing at all international tournaments, Championships and Asian Games throughout the year

· The Best Coach of the year - Khosro Dalir Moein (Iran), For all his efforts to win 5 Gold, 9 Silver and 10 Bronze medals for Iran's national team in 2017 Asian and World Championships.

· The Best Female Kurash player of the year - Yang, Hsien-tzu (Chinese Taipei), The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Winner.

· The Best Kurash player of the year - Shukhrat Arslonov (Uzbekistan), The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games Winner, World Champion and prize winner of International Tournament in the name of Al-Khakim at Termizi.

· The Best Federation of the year - Kurash Association of Korea, For organizing 14 day training sessions in Incheon, and 2 large national championships and 1 international tournament on a high level.

· The Best Tournament of the year - The 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (Turkmenistan).

· The Best Event of the year - Official inclusion of Kurash into Asian Games 2018.

· For the contribution to development of Kurash:

  1. Haider A.Farman, President of IKA (Kuwait) - For contribution in the development of Kurash in Asia and Oceania
  2. Komil Ruziev, President of KCAO (Uzbekistan) - For the reorganization of the Asian-Oceania Confederation activities and for financial support of all international tournaments and competitions and training camps of IKA, throughout the year.
