Yesterday, on April 29, the official opening ceremony and press conference of the International coaching seminar taking place in Tashkent was held in the conference hall of the Ministry of Sports of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The President of the International Kurash Association Haider Farman took part in the conference and spoke.
– Kurash is not only a favorite sport for us, but at the same time it has become the meaning of our lives.
We are using all our strength and capabilities to further develop Kurash in the world.
In this regard, the support of the government of Uzbekistan, in particular H.E.President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is becoming important.
A month ago, Kurash was presented at the SportAccord International Business and Sports Summit in Birmingham, Great Britain. Despite the fact that it was the first time in the history of Kurash, it served to increase the interest and attention to our beloved sport.
We held negotiations with International sports organizations and IF representatives of prestigious games. I am pleased to announce that Kurash is now a part of the Islamic Solidarity Games. We have reached positive agreements on this.
The application process for membership of the Alliance of Independently Recognized Sports Members (AIMS) has begun. During the summit, discussions were held with AIMS President Stephan Fox on the necessary issues in this regard.
Inclusion in AIMS is one of the most important steps in the recognition of Kurash by the International Olympic Committee and its inclusion in the Olympic Games program in the future.
