Turkish Kurash Federation
In 2024, the Turkish Kurash Federation organized about 10 national championships and seminars in different age categories.
• On June 21-23, the European Championship was successfully held in Edirne. 221 Kurash athletes from 19 European countries participated in it.
Also, the Turkish national team during the year;
• At the World Junior, Cadet and Veteran Championships held in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, the Turkish national team won 1 gold, 1 silver and 4 bronze medals.
– Won 4 bronze medals at the final World Series Pro International tournament.

Mongolian Kurash athlete Ankhbayar Tumenbayar defeated Kenneth Acquah from South Africa at the World Junior Kurash Championship with “Teska yelka” Usul.
As a result of the championship, Ankhbayar Tumenbayar won the silver medal of the World Championship.

International Testing Agency
In cooperation with the International Testing Agency, more than 10 online and offline seminars on clean sport principles were organized during 2024.
A successful 5-week webinar on anti-doping was held in September and October.
More than 3,000 anti-doping specialists from over 70 countries participated.

Inclusion of Kurash in the program of the Islamic Solidarity Games
As a result of years of negotiations with the Islamic Solidarity Sports Association (ISSA), Kurash was officially included in the program of the Islamic Solidarity Games.

13th Asian Senior Kurash Championship
The Asian Senior Kurash Championship was successfully held in Tehran, Islamic Republic of Iran, June 6-10, 2024.
More than 200 Asian Kurash athletes from 20 countries competed in it.

Another important aspect of the championship is that women’s competitions were also held within the framework of the championship. Many sports in the Islamic Republic of Iran have restrictions on women’s participation, which were relaxed for the Asian Kurash Championship because of the hijab.
