The VIII Asian senior championship was successfully concluded in India on December 11, 2012. The championships in the southwest Indian town of Kochi, attracted male and female players from around Asia who competed for the medals and the title of the Asian champion.

On July 3, 2013 the Kurash Confederation of Asia, the continental union of the International Kurash Association held its ordinary Congress meeting in Incheon, Korea. The Congress meeting was held at the Posco Convention Center in the downtown of Incheon, the host city of the 4th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games (AIMAG). The Congress of the Kurash Confederation of Asia (KCA) was attended by delegates from Asian nations participating in the Asian Games in Incheon. The main item in the agenda of the meeting was related to election of the new President of the KCA.
