According to the calendar of the International Kurash Association and the Asia-Oceania Kurash Confederations, the Kyrgyz city of Issyk-Kul will host a major Kurash competition and an international training camp.
Based on the Competition Program, international training sessions will begin on July 1. The best athletes from more than 10 countries of our continent are scheduled to participate in the 2-week training.
This training camp will serve as a unique preparation for the 19th Summer Asian Games, which will be hosted by Hangzhou, China, and the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, which will be held in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand.
On July 15-17, Issyk-Kul International Kurash Tournament will be held. The tournament is organized among adults.
Issyk-Kul is one of the largest mountain lakes not only in Kyrgyzstan but also in the world.
Surrounded by Tersay Olotov and Kungai mountains, the height of the Issyk-kol valley is 1600 meters above sea level, and the width is 6330 km. According to the Ministry of Tourism of Kyrgyzstan, about 1 million 500 thousand tourists visit the Issyk-Kul valley every year.
