Kurash Confederation of Asia-Oceania has studied the proposals of Kurash Federations on the continent and, in agreement with the International Kurash Association, has developed a calendar of events for 2022 and KCAO announces the 2022 Calendar. This year, the list of KCAO events includes 16 different types of Kurash events. The Asian Championship, which was postponed due to a pandemic last year, will be held in late March this year in the historic and beautiful city of Bukhara. However, the Senior and juniors will compete for the continental championship. One of the most important events of the year is, of course, the Summer Asian Games in Guangzhou, China. On this prestigious sports holiday, kurash athletes from across the continent will take to the gilam on September 17-23. This year, two more Asian Games will be held: in Vietnam (May 7-12), “SEA games”, and in Vladivostok (July 27-August 1) will be “Children of Asia”. Another important event of KCAO is the regional Asian championships. In 2022, Nepal will host the South Asian Kurash Championship, while Mazar-e-Sharif, Afghanistan will host the Central Asian Kurash Championship. International tournaments and training seminars are also held throughout the year in Shahrisabz, Khorezm, Issyk-Kul and Bojnurd. The schedule for the 2022 events will be finalized by the World Senior Kurash Championship in India and the Asian Beach Kurash Championships on the Iranian island of Kish.
