On April 20-21, a meeting of the leadership of the International Kurash Association was held in Kuwait.
At the meeting, the President of the IKA, the General Director of the Asian Games of the Olympic Council of Asia Mr. Haider Farman was informed about the competitions and future plans by the Vice-President of the IKA Ziyoviddin Khodjiniyazov and the General Secretary of the IKA, Technical director Reza Nassiri.
On April 25-30 of this year, the Asian Senior Kurash Championship, the International Seminar of Kurash referees and Coaches, and the Asian qualifying round of the “Kurash World Series Pro-WSP” tournament for the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan prize will be held in Hangzhou, China.
According to the information presented to the President of IKA, all organizational issues are being implemented on the basis of the established Program. More than 1,200 employees are working to present a real Kurash festival to about 400 participants from 24 countries.
Haider Farman announced that the Kurash Week in Hangzhou would be held at the highest level and that he would personally participate in the championship.
During the meeting, the final list of ITOs organizing and holding the 19th Summer Asian Games for kurash was approved.
It was also mentioned that it was planned to organize a meeting with the President of the Asian Deaflympics organization recognized by the IOC and Paralympic organizations in Tashkent in order to affiliate kurash.
