Today, a regular meeting was held at the headquarters of the International Kurash Association.
The meeting discussed the organization and holding of the XIII Asian Senior Kurash Championship.
It was attended by Vice-President of the International Kurash Association, President of the Asian Kurash Confederation Komil Ruziev, Secretary General of the IKA Mohammad Reza Nassiri, Head of the administration of the International Kurash Association Mansur Mirzaev, Secretary General of the Asian Kurash Confederation Farrukh Saitkulov, Deputy Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyar Kadyrov and Assistant Chairman of the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan Sardor Karimov.
The competition calendar for the current year was proposed by the Asian Kurash Confederation for the Asian Senior Kurash Championship in Bukhara.
This proposal was unanimously supported by the participants of the meeting.
Mr. Komil Ruziev said that he had met with the heads of the authorities of the Bukhara region about the holding of this prestigious championship and was ready to receive support from them.
Within the framework of this championship, the Congress of the Asian Kurash Confederation, a meeting of the Executive Committee and an international tournament dedicated to the memory of Bahuddin Nakshiband for the prize of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan were also announced.
During the meeting, Mohammad Reza Nassiri noted that Uzbekistan has not hosted a single major Kurash championship in the last decade. Mr Nassiri said, “I think this informed the Kurash federations in Asia that this event will also be interesting for Uzbek Kurash lovers.”
In connection with the high organization and holding of the Continental Kurash Championship, Sardor Karimov noted that the Kurash Federation of Uzbekistan expressed its willingness to support and cooperate.
During the meeting, organizational and technical issues related to the championship were discussed.
According to him, the date for the championship was set for June 4-10.
