50 years, half a century is not a short time. And again, if more than half of this period is dedicated to the development of our beloved Kurash.
Today, the Vice President of the International Kurash Association (IKA), President of the Kurash Confederation of Asia-Oceania (KCAO) Komil Ruziev is celebrating his 50th birthday.
Komil Ruziev was born on October 4, 1970 in Karakul district of Bukhara region.
He graduated from Tashkent State Law University. He is a lawyer by profession.
For many years he held various positions in the law enforcement system, the International Kurash Association, entrepreneurship and as a Vice President of the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan.
On January 4, 2017, he was elected as a President of the Kurash Confederation of Asia-Oceania.
Under the direct leadership of Komil Ruziev, continental kurash championships among adults and youth and many international tournaments are being organized at a high level.
A new era of Kurash has begun on the Asian continent. A new system of comprehensive support for national federations, regular training of coaches and referees has been established.
With the support of the Olympic Council of Asia and the International Kurash Association, Kurash by being added in the programs of the Summer Asian Games, the Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games, and the Asian Children's Games, taking strong position.
